And the winner…

Thanks for participating in our survey.
The survey results were surprising in some regards, expected in others, but one point was clear: Formulators use a wide variety of natural oils and butters in their products. Every item on the list garnered votes.
Thirty-four products made the final cut. Of these, five products captured slightly more than 25% of the votes cast. Mango butter took top place, just squeaking past four organic items: Babassu oil, Passion fruit oil, Prickly pear oil, and Tamanu oil.
We thought organic Argan oil and organic Coconut oil would be high on the list. To our surprise, Argan was last of the choices that received votes, while organic Coconut barely beat out five other oils.
We have not made a final decision on which oils and butters we offer and when that will be. However, the survey results will certainly drive our selections.
Our thanks to everyone, who voted in the survey. We will offer more opportunities in future newsletters for gift certificates, sales, and freebies. Stay tuned!

A word about one item that did not appear in the survey: Ximenia americana oil.

First, our thanks to one of our readers, Robbin, who informed us that our survey form was not working on our web site. That is Opps! #1 here. (Read on for Opps! #2.)
Our new web site went live on Monday, but the survey form didn’t quite make the transition. We have a fix in place, but the formatting is messy. Not a big deal, as the survey will be done by 31 July. We will be tweaking the site as we go along.
Please help us with the survey as we look toward offering new products in our online catalog.You will find a list of items here (or https://www.dlgnaturals.com/Survey3.html, if you prefer to cut-and-paste). Just don’t pay attention to the formatting errors. A grateful thanks to everyone, who have already responded. You formulators are using a wide variety of amazing ingredients! And, a few were noted to us that we missed in the survey (our thanks for bringing those to our attention).
And now, Opps! #2. On occasion, we have a product in stock that failed our specs. Yes, our opps!! We always check incoming shipments for quality. Usually, and fortunately for us, those products exceed our standards. But every so often….

DLG NATURALS ACCOUNT HOLDERS If you tried lately to access your online account at DLG Naturals, you probably did not have a good experience. Our apologies. We are designing a new web site that will be more user friendly and with a more secure database and shopping cart. In the process, we discovered we could keep either the old shopping cart or the new shopping cart, but not both.
In short, no quick and easy transition. So…. We are stuck for a few days. The new web site will soon be live. Please bear with us. You will still find the same great oils and service.
But, some changes….
First, you will need to re-register for an account. Your old login will not work. Just part of upgraded security. You can continue with the same username, password, and email address, but we are asking you for a more secure password, if you don’t already have one: at least 8 characters, at least 1 small letter, 1 capital letter, 1 number, and 1 symbol. This is not mandatory, but with Internet hacking becoming increasingly more prevalent, a secure password is important for your protection.
Second, we are anticipating adding new products to the catalog. We are a small company, so we watch our budget very carefully (the last few months have been financially tough). We cannot add everything we want.
We need your help in deciding what the new products will be. Please complete a survey for us. You will find a list of items here (or https://www.dlgnaturals.com/Survey3.html, if you prefer to cut-and-paste). Please select no more than ten on the list that, if we offered them, you might purchase. No obligations here. We are simply looking for interest in select items. Our main focus will be oils and butters from Africa, especially organic certified, plus some less available items. We might offer a few more common items for convenience. In all cases, we will maintain our commitment to quality products.

To Our Valued Clients and Natural Products Family,
Before we dive into our news, we want to offer our condolences and best wishes to those individuals, families, and businesses, who have been adversely affected by the Covid pandemic, social unrest, and uncertainty during this stressful time. We are all in this together. We will find solutions together.
We need to note an issue that has impacted on many businesses: International shipping has been reduced to a crawl for the past few months. DLG Naturals works through new regulations and safety concerns, particularly when shipping products – usually by truck – across borders. (Our team in Botswana has witnessed miles-long lines of trucks waiting literally for days to move from one country into another.)
Customs services, short staffed, cannot meet the demands. International airlines are only recently returning to the skies. Even in the U.S., we are seeing delays. Where once a shipment from us to a customer was over-night, the new norm is over-days. These, and other factors out of our control, have resulted in sky-rocketing costs for transporting our products.
Though we firmly believe these price hikes will slowly return to a relative normal over the next 12-18 months, we cannot absorb all of the substantially increased costs for such an extended time. Effective July 1, 2020, DLG Naturals will reluctantly increase prices on most products. For existing orders and any placed before 1 July, original prices will be honored, even if the order is added to the waiting list for some of our products. We have and will continue to work relentlessly in supplying quality ingredients at the best price possible. We appreciate your understanding.
If you have read this far, thank you. On a separate note, we will be sending out a survey soon. We are planning to add products to our line and are asking our customers to tell us what they want. The survey results will guide our decisions. Watch for a future newsletter for more information. We would greatly value your input!
